The Guidance Department provides service and information in the following areas:
The academic counselors schedule an appointment at least once yearly with each student. In addition to the yearly academic appointment, students are always welcome to make an appointment with their academic counselor or the college coordinator. To schedule an appointment, students should complete a request form in the Guidance Office, Room 212A. Mrs. O'Boyle, the guidance registrar, is also available by phone, email, or in Room 212A, to answer any student or parent questions.
The Guidance Department welcomes college admissions representatives during the fall and the spring. The Department will schedule two colleges / universities per day, with special exceptions during peak travel times. Visits can be made at 8:12, 9:03, 9:54, 12:03, 12:56, 1:24, and 2:20. To set up a visit, please contact our guidance registrar, Mrs. Jodi O'Boyle or 815-877-0531. When visiting Boylan, you may park at the main entrance off of Campus Hills Blvd. by the flag. As a reminder, you will be asked to present a photo ID when you enter the building. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
The following College Admissions Counselors are scheduled to visit Boylan on the following dates/times. Visits will take place in room 212A. Make sure to check the schedule below for visitation times.
If you wish to make an appointment to see one of the visiting College Admissions Counselors, fill out a "College Visit Request" form found in the Guidance office. If you will be missing a class, you must have permission from your teacher to attend. All requests must be in no later than 3:05 p.m. the day before the scheduled visit.
Students must set up an appointment with Mrs. Schubert if they are requesting a Letter of Recommendation or using The Common Application.
Please remember that recommendation requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the preferred deadline and a Letter of Recommendation form must be filled out and given to Mrs. Schubert and anyone else writing a letter.
All transcripts for college admissions are to be sent electronically through Parchment website. If you have questions about Parchment, please contact Mrs. O’Boyle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For graduates prior to 2012 you will continue to request a transcript by submitting the form below. The cost is $5.00 per transcript, payable at time of request. All requests must be made in writing.
