Social Science:

The Social Science Department strives to acquaint students with historical events and social science concepts through primary and secondary sources. The curriculum traces the development of democracy in order to promote civic responsibility and involvement in the democratic process. Students are challenged to interpret, analyze, and evaluate past and present human interaction in order to develop an understanding of and an appreciation for ethnic diversity and the position of nations within the global community.
