Boylan Catholic High School’s Booster Club sponsors the 9th Annual Bowling Extravaganza on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2:00PM and 5:00PM at Park Lanes, 5318 N. 2nd St., Loves Park. The $25 per person (adults only) fee includes two games, shoe rental, cash raffle tickets, and a pasta dinner. 50/50 raffles, random door prizes, and a silent auction will be featured. To reserve a lane (6 bowlers per lane) or to sign up individually, contact Paul Heitkamp at 877-9975 between 8:00AM and 2:00PM Monday – Friday.

The Bowling Extravaganza has raised nearly $110,000 over the past eight years for the Track Project. This year’s proceeds will be used for track maintenance, portable bleacher repairs, and a new sound system for the pool.

The Illinois Student Assistance commission (ISAC) has announced the names of this year’s students honored as Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois State Scholar Program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. The Commission is pleased to announce that 42 Boylan Catholic High School students have been named Illinois State Scholars.

Rankings are based on a combination of ACT and/or SAT 1 test score results and class rank at the end of the sixth semester in high school. While the program does not provide a monetary award, the designation as an Illinois State Scholar can be listed on applications for college admission and scholarships.
