Tom Fitzgerald, Boylan Class of 1969, was recognized with the Veritas Award, the MBT Alumni Association’s highest honor, at the May 26 commencement exercises at the school.

The purpose of the Veritas Award is to recognize a graduate of Muldoon, St. Thomas, or Boylan Catholic High School who models the essence of a Catholic secondary education: lives the truth (Veritas) as taught and lived by Jesus Christ. As owner of Fitzgerald & Sons Funeral Home, Tom has made his profession his ministry, answering Jesus’ call to comfort the sick and to bury the dead. His membership on the boards of the Northern Illinois Hospice Association and Catholic Charities, has further enhanced that ministry.
