Boylan Catholic High School’s German Club, in cooperation with the German Society of Rockford, will be hosting the Trachtenkapelle Harmonie Weyer, a 40-piece Austrian brass band, on Sunday, September 10.

The concert will begin at 6pm in Boylan’s auditorium. There will be a reception with light refreshments to meet and greet band members following the performance. There is no admission; a free will offering will be accepted.

All alumni, parents past and present, future students and Boylan friends are invited to join Boylan students and staff for the first annual Spirit Walk on Sunday, September 24, at 1pm on the Boylan campus.

All walkers are asked to get a team together, solicit pledges, and support Boylan’s mission of service, its student tuition assistance program, and local parish outreach to the poor. There is no minimum pledge total required.

Individuals or teams must register by Tuesday, September 19. Go to www.boylan.org or call Boylan’s Advancement Office at (815) 877-8008. Registrants on Walk Day are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

Check-in on Walk Day begins at noon. The Walk will begin with invocation, proceed around the Boylan campus perimeter, and end with lunch in the stadium.

The Spirit Walk will take place rain or shine. It replaces the school’s 37 year-old Chocolate Drive.
