The Chicago Tribune has named Cathryn Vaulman as a finalist in the Chicago Tribune’s annual All-State Academic Team scholarship competition for 2008.
The newspaper received 250 nominations for the honor. From those entries, the judges selected 70 finalists – 10 from each of seven regions across the state. From those 70, ten winners were chosen. Although Cathryn was not one of the final ten chosen, to be selected among the finalists is a great honor.
According to Joseph Sjostrom, the All-State Academic Team director, “…the Finalists are top-notch students and citizens, and I wish I could have declared them all winners.”
