Congratulations to junior Zach Smith who was crowned the class 3A State wrestling champion at 215 pounds. Zach is the first Boylan student to win a State wrestling title. Zach will be recognized at the all-school assembly following the Ash Wednesday mass.

Congratulations to Matt Farley and Reid Keller who will be representing Boylan in the State swimming and diving competion. Matt and Reid finished one, two in the sectional finals held last Saturday.

Congratulations to Blaise Butler and Zack Smith who will be representing Boylan at the
State Wrestling Tournament by virtue of their performance at the sectional meet this past Friday.

Congratulations also to the swimming team on their performance at the NIC-10 Conference meet held at Freeport. The team emerged as NIC-10 champions.

The following swimmers took first place:

Dan Abbott — 50 freestyle

Christian Buckwalter — 100 freestyle

Mason Faulk, Dan Abbott, Christian Buckwalter,  Bobby Custer — 200 freestyle relay

Mitchell Faulk — 100 backstroke

Reed Keller — Diving

Congratulations to Adam Czerniewski who has been selected as the NIC-10 Most Valuable Player for the bowling season.

Also congratulations to the following Lady Titan soccer players who have signed national  ”Letters of Intent”:

Molly Bender, a two year varsity team member, to attend St. Cloud State University of Minnesota.

Ashley Botts, a three year varsity team member, to attend Grand Valley State University of Michigan.

Erin DiGiovanni, a three year varsity team member, to attend Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Taylor Meyers, a four year varsity team member, to attend Louisiana Tech University.

Karen Schappert, a two year varsity team member, to attend Winona State University of Minnesota.

The Boylan Math Team finished third overall at the Hononegah Invitational Tournament held Saturday, February 7. Congratulations to the following:

Alec Filak, first place Geometry; Mitchell Faulk, first place Algebra 2; Grace Parsons, second place Algebra 2; Mason Faulk, third place Algebra 2; Algebra 2 Team, first place.
