Miss Melissa Mecadon our choral teacher has announced today that tomorrow evening , January 14, 2010,  our Concert Choir will be singing a concert with the Millikin University Chamber Chorale at the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle. We’re the “opening act”.
Millikin University Chamber Choral is a select mixed ensemble exploring all forms of choral music from five centuries of standard repertoire.  The choir tours annually throughout the midwest.  In February the choir will perform for the Regional Conference of the American Choral Director’s Association, one of seven college choirs from a five state area to be invited. I am very excited about this opportunity because this is the choir I sang in while at Millikin AND because our Concert Choir will be singing a piece written by the director of the MU choir, Dr. Guy Forbes.
So if you’re not busy and you would like to trek to Rochelle – our concert starts at 7:30 (I would try to get there a little early for seating) It is free and open to the public.
