Clubs and Student Organizations:
Art Club:
The art club provides opportunities for the
enjoyment and creation of art for all students.
Dance Teams:
Junior varsity and varsity squads perform at football and boy's basketball games
French Club:
Gain a richer understanding of the French culture through activities and outings.
German Club:
Students of the German language, as well as students interested in German culture, may participate in the club's monthly activities, including dinners and festivals.
Green Club:
Promotes awareness of the resources in our environment through sponsoring projects.
Key Club:
Kiwanis Educating Youth is a service organization open to all. The club sponsors various projects throughout the year designed to help the less fortunate or those in need.

Math Club:
The club meets prior to the regional Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics competition. A subsequent meeting takes place before the state level of this competition.
Mock Trial:
Students interested in trial law may audition for acceptance to the Mock Trial team. The selected students meet weekly beginning in the fall to prepare an assigned criminal or civil case for presentation at competitions sponsored by the Illinois Bar Association.
National Honor Society:
Students who demonstrate outstanding performance in scholarship, leadership, service and character are selected by a faculty committee. Members participate in a variety of service projects for the school and the community.

Natural Helpers:
This organization recognizes those in the school community who are most regularly sought out by others for listening or advice. A survey is conducted each winter to identify those students and staff members who the student body consider to be "natural helpers." Those identified in the survey are invited to training sessions to refine communication skills.
Newspaper:
Students with good writing skills and an interest in journalism produce monthly issues of the Boylan Current.
Psychology Club:
Explore the human mind and personality with others.
S.A.R.O:
The Students Assisting Relief Organizations
(S.A.R.O.) participates in activities that help relief organizations and
raises funds in support of these organizations.

Scholastic Bowl:
An activity for those who love trivia and Jeopardy, Scholastic Bowl is open to all levels. Competition with schools within the NIC-10 and from around the state takes place from November through March.
Senior Retreat Team:
Senior boys and girls are trained to assist as facilitators for the various retreats offered for Boylan and parishes.
Spanish Club:
Any student of the Spanish language may participate in culturally based activities of this club.
Student Council:
The four elected officers plus class officers at each level and an elected representative for each home room plan and participate in activities and projects to enhance school life, raise monies for the "Speed" McCoy Scholarship Fund and coordinate the annual adapt-a-family Christmas basket program.
Teen Impact:
Open to anyone committed to sharing and supporting drug free choices. The organization plans Red Ribbon activities, Alcohol Awareness Month, Pray for the Children Prayer breakfast, Boylan/Harlem Support a Winning Add-a-tude Campaign and attend various conferences.

Theatre / Musicals:
Theatrical experiences include two stage productions each year, a drama or series of one act plays in the fall and a musical in the spring. All roles require auditions. A wide variety of technical opportunities are available for those who are interested in this aspect of theatre.
Voice for the Unborn:
Boylan's pro-life club, Voice for the Unborn, exists to promote pro-life principles in the Boylan community and beyond through education, action, and prayer. In response to Pope John Paul II's call, we are working to help build a "culture of life."
Ultimate Frisbee Club:
This club provides recreational opportunities for Frisbee fanatics.
Wellness Assistance Program:
This school program sponsors in-school support groups for students of each class level who with a trained facilitator meet and discuss the pressures directly affecting their lives. The Wellness Program is concerned with the total development of our students. Offering conflict resolution sessions, providing intervention with suspected drug use, and acting as liaison between teachers and a student who is hospitalized or otherwise out of school due to illness are responsibilities of the wellness office.
Yearbook:
The EDGE staff receives intensive experience in all aspects of the production of photojournalism. Interested students must apply for acceptance to this elective English class and provide references from three faculty members.
