Congratulations to three Boylan Art Students for receiving art awards from State Representative, Dave Vella '89
On a quarterly basis, State Representative Dave Vella collaborates with local schools by hosting an art competition. For the fall quarter, Vella collaborated with our Boylan Art Department. Twenty-seven of our
students submitted over 50 pieces of art that have been on display in Vella's public office. Along with displaying the pieces created by our talented students, he also selected three pieces, shown below, which will be on display in Springfield. The winning artists were announced during a school visit from Dave Vella. Congratulations to our 1st place winner, Marta Boone '23 (Cat and Butterfly), 1st runner-up Val Hagedorn '22 (Ingrid Salva- ballerina), and 2nd runner-up, Neve LaFever '24 (Cherries)! Great job to all of our talented artists that participated.
